The Master Data Coordinator will be responsible for managing all aspects of the item creation process, including data accuracy, coordination of input from all functional areas and communication to all internal departments. The Coordinator will ensure the quality and timeliness of requests and have a good understanding of milestones within the process. They will work closely with various Bazooka departments to improve processes and promote alignment of business information. This individual should think progressively and proactively address potential issues related to data governance. Good communication skills and a professional demeanor are required to interact with internal customers and outside resources in addition to possessing strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Let’s get down to the nitty-gritty.
Create and maintain items, descriptions, product definitions (bills of material) and all critical attributes required for efficient Macola management.
Review, validate and execute new part number requests from all Bazooka departments.
Evaluate all change requests for accuracy and business rationale to determine if change should move forward in process.
Execute all changes to master data, including revisions, additions and deletions.
Maintain and organize existing Master Data files to ensure all critical fields are filled out correctly and no risks exist that impact operational integrity.
Organize incoming requests to determine priority and business impact.
Maintain tracking/tracability of requests through established systems and processes.
Communicate status updates of open, ongoing and delayed requests.
For major initiatives, work with Materials Manager to identify required action items and develop a work plan to meet desired timeline for completion.
Associates or Bachelor degree preferred.
Experience working with inventory control or related function preferred.
Experience in a plant or manufacturing environment preferred.
Knowledge of ERP systems helpful, but not required.
Understanding of BOM/item creation and updates helpful, but not required.
Strong communication skills with the capability of multi-tasking and detail oriented.
Works cross-functionally to get required information and ensure accuracy of change.
